What is Juneteenth?+

Juneteenth marks June 19, 1865 — the day enslaved people in Galveston, Texas learned they were free, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation. It is the oldest nationally celebrated commemoration of the end of slavery in the United States.

Is the festival free?+

Yes. Community admission is always free. Supporter and Legacy VIP tiers are optional and directly fund scholarships and free programming.

Where is the festival held?+

In downtown West Palm Beach. Exact venue details and parking maps are published each spring on the Festival page.

How do I apply for a scholarship?+

Applications open each January for graduating Palm Beach County seniors. Details and deadlines are posted on the Programs page.

How can my business become a vendor?+

Submit the vendor form on the Get Involved page. Priority placement goes to Black-owned businesses based in Palm Beach County.

Are donations tax-deductible?+

Yes. Juneteenth of PBC Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit and you will receive a receipt for every gift.

Do you accept in-kind donations?+

Absolutely — equipment, printing, catering, staging and professional services are all welcome. Contact our partnerships team.
